For the first time in the country, SULECO (PVT) LTD introduces CORSnet, ushering Sri Lanka to the next era in Surveying in par with the rest of the world. CORSnet server was launched on Tuesday, the 20th of May 2014 at Ambalama Leisure Lounge, Hanwella. The network covers major cities including Kaduwela, Kuruwita, Pahalagama, Hanwella, Rathnapura, Meepe, Godagama, Nugegoda, and Dehiwala.
The launch was marked by Logging into the CORSnet Server and the CORSnet Web Launch, initiated by the Chief Guest Mr. P M P Udayakantha, Additional Survey General, Survey Department, Sri Lanka.
The latter session of the Program was commenced with a Workshop on CORS Technology and the practical usages of GNSS and other High-End Survey Equipment conducted by the SOUTH International Representatives, with time being given for Q&A and discussion during the formal proceedings. This session was followed by a Private Drinks Reception and Lunch (Buffet).
